EDGE Lacrosse is Pleased to Announce 2014 FALL TRYOUT INFO

EDGE Lacrosse tryouts for the 2014 fall season will be through invitation only. If you have received a personal invite to attend the 2014 EDGE tryouts, please complete the online registration form to confirm your registration. INVITE only tryouts will ensure that the top players are present and competing for 20 coveted positions on each team. 

If you would like to be considered for the tryout, you may complete the application form to be reviewed by a member of our staff. You will be contacted within 48 hours following your application.

If you have not received a personal invitation or referral to the EDGE tryouts, you will be asked to attend the TRUE NORTH LACROSSE CLUB tryouts that will take place Sept 5th, 7th, 12th and 14th in Burlington and Oshawa. The top performing players at TRUE NORTH LC tryouts will be invited to the EDGE team tryouts the weekend of Sept 19-21st. 

If you believe you are an exceptional player, you may complete an EDGE tryout application, you will be contacted by a member of our staff prior to confirming your tryout application.

EDGE Lacrosse players can expect a high level of instruction from experiend and knowledgeable coaches. EDGE lacrosse teams are made up of elite boys from ages 8 to grade 12 students. Teams will be entered into the highest divisions of very competitive touranments in US lacrosse hotbeds (MD, NY, NJ, PA, MI, etc). Prospective recruits should be considered top players in their own centres and demonstrate elite athletic qualities and aspire to achieve their full potential on the field and in the classroom. 

Fall and Summer Season Overview
Fall: Minimum 4 team practices (90 min practices)
3 Fall Tournaments (between Oct - end of Nov)
Team Uniform

Spring:
Minimum 4 team practices (90 min practices)
2 day March Break Team Camp (16 hours)
2 day June Training Camp and BBQ (16 hours) 
3 Summer Tournaments (between June - July)
Access to any EDGE Lacrosse Summer Camps in July (5 Locations - 28 hours weekly development)
 
In total, an EDGE member can anticipate a minimum of 66 hours of practice and camp development and minimum of 30+ games at competitive US tournaments over the course of the season. 

During the box and spring field lacrosse seasons, we do our best to avoid scheduling practices and events that will conflict with OMFLL/OLA commitments. We respect and fully endorse our members as active and outstanding participants within their home centers and within their community. 

Understandably, a large number of our members also play a high level of hockey. If you cannot commit to the fall season, we do host Spring evaluations for our summer teams. Contact Alan Tsang if you would like to be added to the Spring only list.
