EDGE Lacrosse is excited to announce details for the upcoming 2018 fall YOUTH (2006 - 2010) season! EDGE lacrosse is Canada’s premier training, development and recruiting club program, with over 340 male and female recruits to the NCAA since 2006.

*please note any 2006 born players who had previously registered for the 12-130pm, are asked to attend the 9am – 1030am tryout*


We are very excited to offer a tryout for the World Series of Youth Lacrosse. The World Series event is a U13 tournament hosted in Denver, CO July 1-4, 2019. The event has a number of the top U13 programs from across North America participating. We are hosting a tryout to evaluate players for a position on the World Series team.

The World Series team will be a completely separate team this season as we train and prepare for the event in July.

We are eager to continue training in September! We are offering training 3x a week (Monday, Thursday Saturday) through the entire fall season. Over 55 hours of training, development and coaching! We believe that You get OUT, what you put IN. We expect to see great improvements in your son’s abilities throughout the fall.

All training and practices are hosted by EDGE Team Coaches, NCAA and EDGE Alum. Positional coaches will be present at every practice to provide specialized coaching for attack, midfielders, defensemen, goal-tending and faceoffs.

Saturday Nov 3, 10, 17, 24 – 9am – 12pm

Each 3 hour practice will consist of 60 minutes of individual skill training, 60 minute team practice and 60 minutes of fitness/speed and conditioning.

Each 90 minute skill session will focus on fundamental skill development and positional training from EDGE Team Coaches and Guest Coaches.

Training Sessions Focus On:
Attack - Inside Finishing, Stick Work, Dodging and Creating from X, Feeding
Midfield - Dodging, Shooting, Shooting on the Run, Vision, Clearing, Pick and Rolls,
Defense - Footwork, Positioning, Stick/Takeaway Checks, Stick Work, Ground Balls
Goalie - Stick Skills, Positioning, Angles, Communication
Faceoff - Warm Ups, Drills, Technique, Positioning, Counters, Live Reps
Fitness and Conditioning (Speed/Agility + Lacrosse Specific training)
Team Play and Offensive/Defensive Systems

Each team will travel to a minimum of 2 US lacrosse tournaments. Most teams will travel to a 3rd event in mid/late November. Tournament dates and details will be confirmed shortly. Most youth teams will compete in fall ball events in NY, with one possible event as a distance event in PA or MD.

On weekends where the team is travelling for a tournament, there will be no scheduled Saturday practice. However, we will do our best to arrange to have a brief practice/walkthrough on the Friday evening of a tournament.

We do offer training only positions at the youth level. These positions are for players who wish to participate in the local training, but may not be able to travel for US tournaments.

Below is our fall program cost, included in this cost is:

  • All scheduled team practices and training between September 10th – November 31st. Over 20 sessions and 40 hours of on field training!
  • Head Coach and Assistant Coaching Fees
  • Team Hoodie
  • Program and Training Supplies (Nets, balls, etc)
  • Administrative Support, website management, tournament and travel logistics

Following tryouts, players who are offered positions will be required to register between September 8th – September 15th in order to secure their position, confirm their apparel and uniform sizing.

Not included in the program cost:

  • Team Uniform – New players will need to purchase a team uniform set ($125) which includes: 1 sublimated reversible pinnie, 2 shorts (red/white), 2 shooting shirts. This is the current uniform from Fall 2017 and Summer 2018.
  • Tournament Fees – tournament fees are paid directly to your team manager and paid for equally by the number of participating players. Tournament fees cover – tournament entry cost + coach’s hotel and travel

Following the completion of the fall season on November 31st, we will begin training INDOORS throughout the winter, December – March. We will offer weekly training on Saturday mornings for youth players who wish to continue to train. More info to come in September.
