Troyhann Santos Appointed Women's Director

EDGE Lacrosse, the #1 Canadian club program in player development and recruitment is pleased to announce Troyhann Santos as our new women’s program director. Troyhann will oversee the training, development and recruitment for the women’s program and provide Ontario student-athletes with the guidance and support to secure scholarships to the NCAA.

Troyhann, is one of the most accomplished and experienced female lacrosse players and coaches in Canada. A 2016 inductee to the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Troyhann began playing lacrosse in Whitby, Ontario, where she learned and developed her skills playing boys box lacrosse. She would later move onto to represent Team Ontario in women’s field a total of 10x, compiling 3 Golds, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze at Nationals.

Collegeiately, Troyhann was a trailblazer for Canadian female lacrosse players interested in playing lacrosse in the NCAA.  She became the 2nd Canadian woman in history to be awarded an American University Scholarship when she accepted a scholarship from James Madison University (Virginia). As a Duke, Troyhann was named Co-Captain in her Senior year, and received recognition as an All-South Team II Selection in 1992, and All-South Team I in 1993.

Internationally, Troyhann was selected to represent Canada a total of 4 times. In 1994,  she was named Team Captain and lead the team in scoring at the Commonweath Games in Victoria, BC. In 2001 and 2005 Troyhann was co-captain of the Canadian World Cup Teams. Following her playing career, Troyhann began coaching both box and field lacrosse in Ontario. Troyhann has coached both boys and girls field and box for Team Ontario helping to secure 4 Gold and 2 Silver medals at Box Nationals.
