Edge is happy to announce the opening of our Goalie Academy Program. This program is designed to allow goalies to get comfortable at the position, developed good fundamental habits and techniques. The primary focus is to ensure that all goalies are properly equipped and protected. We have several resources to help families get the best equipment for your child, both new and used equipment. 

Our Facility is used primarily for baseball which allows us to section off each goalie station with 2 shooters at each net. This ensures that Goalies are safe and can focus on the drills in front of them.

We focus on  keeping the goalies safe and free of injury. For the younger ages we use almost exclusively Tennis balls, or soft lax balls. The speed and release of the shot are the same so this is a good way to get our goalies lots of Reps and not risk injury.

Our more advanced goalie training uses both soft and real lacrosse balls when appropriate. 

Our Strategy is the develop goalies through a series of drills and training will help build the strong fundamentals base that is required to excel as a Goalie.

Our sessions will consist of  goalies and shooters per training section. The shooters are Edge Academy Athletes who have been invited to participate in this program, and understand that this training is for the goalies. These shooters will be following a set drill sequence and training plan for each session.

Participants can choose to focus on either Box or Field training for all sessions or they can choose to train both over the course of the sessions.
