EDGE Lacrosse is excited to announce details for the upcoming 2019 FALL Women’s Season! EDGE lacrosse is Canada’s premier training, development and recruiting club program, with over 350 male and female recruits to the NCAA since 2006. We are eager to begin training in September. We are offering training 2-3x a week (Monday, Thursday and Saturday) through the entire fall season. Our goal is to train and prepare our teams for the upcoming fall recruiting events by focusing on improving fundamental lacrosse skills, practicing team systems and lacrosse specific strength and conditioning program through the entire fall. All training and practices are hosted by EDGE Team Coaches, NCAA and EDGE Alum.

MONDAY SKILL SESSIONS – SEPT 16 – NOV 18th, 730pm - 9pm

Each skill session will focus on fundamental skill development and positional training from EDGE Team Coaches and staff

Training Sessions Focus On:
Attack - Inside Finishing, Stick Work, Dodging and Creating from X, Feeding
Midfield - Dodging, Shooting, Shooting on the Run, Vision, Clearing, Pick and Rolls,
Defense - Footwork, Positioning, Checks, Stick Work, Ground Balls
Goalie - Stick Skills, Positioning, Angles, Communication
Fitness and Conditioning (Speed/Agility + Lacrosse Specific training)
Team Play and Offensive/Defensive Systems

Each team will travel to 2-3 US lacrosse tournaments. Tournament dates and details will be finalized shortly after tryouts. Tentative schedules listed below. The youth women’s team will compete in fall ball events in NY, MI with one possible event as a distance event in PA or MD. When selecting events for youth teams, we look at finding events that provide quality competition, good value, within a reasonable drive. Tournament fees are paid by travelling players only for each weekend. On weekends where the team is travelling for a tournament, there will be no scheduled Saturday practice. However, we will do our best to arrange to have a brief practice/walkthrough on the Friday evening of a tournament.

EDGE U19 (2001, 2002, 2003, 2004)
Tournament schedule for the U19 team is CONFIRMED. Mid-Atlantic and President’s Cup are the two premier recruiting events for fall ball.

Nov 22-24 - President’s Cup Showcase – West Palm Beach, FL *
*no grade 9’s are eligible to play*

EDGE U15 (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008)
Oct 6 – Halloween Hustle, Rochester, NY
Oct 26 – Boo Bash – Oxford, MI
Nov 2 – Stars and Stripes – Batavia, NY

Below is our fall program cost, included in this cost is:

  • All scheduled team practices and training between September 14th – November 31st. Over 25 sessions and 40 hours of on field training!
  • Program and Training Supplies (Nets, balls, etc)
  • Administrative Support, website management, tournament and travel logistics
  • Recruiting Seminar
  • Team Hoodie + Practice Pinnie

U19 - $799
U15 - $399

Following tryouts, players who are offered positions will be required to register between September 8th – September 15th in order to secure their position, confirm their apparel and uniform sizing.

Not included in the program cost:

Team Uniform – New players will need to purchase a team uniform set ($125) which includes: 1 sublimated reversible pinnie, 2 shorts (red/white), 2 shooting shirts. This is the current uniform from Fall 2018 and Summer 2019

Tournament Fees – Tournament fees are paid directly to your team manager and paid for equally by the number of participating players. Tournament fees cover – tournament entry cost + coach’s hotel and travel

Troyhann Santos Appointed Women's Director

EDGE Lacrosse, the #1 Canadian club program in player development and recruitment is pleased to announce Troyhann Santos as our new women’s program director. Troyhann will oversee the training, development and recruitment for the women’s program and provide Ontario student-athletes with the guidance and support to secure scholarships to the NCAA.

Troyhann, is one of the most accomplished and experienced female lacrosse players and coaches in Canada. A 2016 inductee to the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame, Troyhann began playing lacrosse in Whitby, Ontario, where she learned and developed her skills playing boys box lacrosse. She would later move onto to represent Team Ontario in women’s field a total of 10x, compiling 3 Golds, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze at Nationals.

Collegeiately, Troyhann was a trailblazer for Canadian female lacrosse players interested in playing lacrosse in the NCAA.  She became the 2nd Canadian woman in history to be awarded an American University Scholarship when she accepted a scholarship from James Madison University (Virginia). As a Duke, Troyhann was named Co-Captain in her Senior year, and received recognition as an All-South Team II Selection in 1992, and All-South Team I in 1993.

Internationally, Troyhann was selected to represent Canada a total of 4 times. In 1994,  she was named Team Captain and lead the team in scoring at the Commonweath Games in Victoria, BC. In 2001 and 2005 Troyhann was co-captain of the Canadian World Cup Teams. Following her playing career, Troyhann began coaching both box and field lacrosse in Ontario. Troyhann has coached both boys and girls field and box for Team Ontario helping to secure 4 Gold and 2 Silver medals at Box Nationals.
